Fatigue-Proof®

A specialty steel product designed to help minimize mechanical failures

It's no secret that fatigue is one of the most common causes of mechanical failures for metals in service. Our Fatigue-Proof® products offer an alternative that can minimize mechanical failures. Although they have the high-strength properties typically associated only with heat-treated steels, these bars don't require heat treating or other secondary operations such as cleaning, straightening or inspections.

Our Fatigue-Proof® products are produced through various combinations of mechanical working and thermal treatment. They provide a variety of advantages, including:

  • Excellent machining characteristics
  • High tensile strength
  • Exceptional resistance to fatigue and wear
  • Minimized distortion
  • Eliminates need for heat treat or secondary operations

Fatigue-Proof® Steel Bars are comparator or roto tested, and although it induction hardens satisfactorily, it should also be watched for quench cracks.

Fatigue-Proof® products expertly fend off fatigue and make an excellent, long-lasting machining material that won't let you down and works hard to lower your end costs.

You can rely on Niagara LaSalle for all of your steel bar needs. To learn more about Fatigue-Proof® or any of our specialty products, please contact us.
