Descaling and Straighteningservices

  • Mechanically descale (shot blast) products in thicknesses from 4.8mm (3/16") to 152mm (6"), widths up to 914mm (36"), and lengths up to 15.2m (50’). This includes bars, angles, structurals, plates, and tubing.
  • Descaling provides the benefits of improved tool and die life, better coating adhesion through a uniform anchor pattern, uniform matte finish, and when oiled, a longer shelf life.
  • When this process is combined with one of 12 rotary straighteners, you create "H.R. Brite". This is a descaled and straightened bar, which is straight enough to run in a screw machine and has the appearance of a cold drawn bar. This can be a cost effective alternative to your current cold drawn purchases. Call us to see if this is a viable alternative for your current cold finish applications. This process is also scrap free.
  • Capable of straightening hot roll rounds in sizes of 9.3mm (3/8") to 177mm (7") and lengths up to 14.6m (48’).
